Your small-group tour starts downtown on Queen Street. Your local guide will lead you through the stylish Britomart precinct towards Auckland’s bustling wharves. Explore the 'City of Sails' as you wander west towards the America’s Cup Viaduct.
Along the way you'll hear how the city evolved from a Maori battleground and shabby colonial outpost into a cosmopolitan seaside playground and major port.
Enjoy local tales and singing sculptures as you stroll past little fishing boats bobbing beside super yachts. Watch fish being unloaded, dip your toes in the Pacific Ocean and soak up the best views of the city, Harbour Bridge and Marina from a hidden viewing deck. A walk through Auckland’s Fish Market reveals the catch of the day.
Your afternoon tour destination is a popular waterfront bistro to mingle with your guide and fellow guests. Here you'll savor a selection of seafood like dusted squid with aoli, prawns in chilli-garlic butter and Kiwi-style fish and chips. Afterwards linger longer in this stylish precinct of waterfront bars and cafes, or stroll back to town with directions from your guide.
This ‘must do’ Auckland experience combines Kiwi culture, history and local cuisine with panoramic seaviews. It's also ideal for visitors with impaired mobility.
